ABOUT PENNY MARTIN AND THE GENTLEWOMAN:
For over 7 years, Penny was the Editor of the online creative platform SHOWstudio.com - founded by image-maker Nick Knight - where she innovated in creating the benchmarks for interactive, live, and in-motion fashion image encounters. In 2010, Penny launched the biannual magazine The Gentlewoman - the “sister” publication to Jop van Bennekom and Gert Jonkers’ Fantastic Man. The Gentlewoman has trailblazed the re-animation of magazines for women, with its ambitious journalism and intelligent imagery and design. With its virtual actions and library at thegentlewoman.com and the regular meetings of the global The Gentlewoman Club - where real women, real events and real things are enjoyed - The Gentlewoman chronicles and celebrates women’s creativity and purposeful actions.
